The Thermal Processing Inspection Refresher (TPR) course is an independent, self-paced 8 hours online training. This training focuses on these topics: Canning Regulations Overview, Process Deviations, Canning HAV and HACCP Plan Verification and Investigation of Canned Food Spoilage Incidents. Participants do not have to complete this training in a single day. This training may be accessed on multiple days.
Target Audience:
Current CSIs who have a job duty in a thermal processing establishment and have previously attended the Thermal Processing class over one year ago or more.
Please ensure that you complete the training before the end of the fiscal year 2024 (September 30, 2024).
Please begin by clicking on and completing the online registration form using the link below.
Once you have completed the training, please complete the online evaluation form located at the bottom of this page.
After you have completed the course registration form, please open the introduction module below to start the course and learn how to navigate the training system features.
A thermal processing student handbook is located below in the resources tab, which can be downloaded and saved to your computer or printed if you wish to do so. The resources are located in Tab 9.
