Course Overview

The Import Inspection Refresher training is an independent 4-hour online training that is self-paced. Enrolled participants are provided online access to the training and must complete the training within the two-week timeframe. Participants do not have to complete this training in a single day. This training may be accessed on multiple days, as long as it is completed prior to the two-week deadline.

The course covers receiving shipments and the two mandatory TOIs, (Certification TOI and Label Verification TOI). It includes reviewing the health certification and application documents and focuses on unit counting and ensuring counts match the certificates. Finally, this course covers Refused Entry procedures for shipments that fails to meet US requirements.

Target Audience

Import Inspectors enrolled in this class must have previously attended an Import Inspection class. This refresher training will consist of a review of the regulatory basis and procedures for some of the most important types of inspection (TOI) they perform daily.
