Course Overview
Virtual Training: The Consumer Safety Inspector Training Leader (CSI TL) online “train the trainer” course (4 days) describes the roles and responsibilities of the CSI TL position. It focuses on how to effectively implement on-the-job training (OJT) using the Pre-IM and Post-IM OJT Procedures Guides to provide OJT to trainee CSIs. The course also covers implementing training for existing inspection program personnel (IPP), adult learning principles, training/mentoring methodology, effective communication, and time management.
Participants should also be enrolled in the Inspection Methods Refresher (IMR) and Slaughter Inspection Refresher (SIR) courses scheduled immediately following the CSI TL course whenever possible. If enrollment in these sessions is not feasible, districts are responsible for scheduling participants in the next available offerings.
