Topics covered during this training include the roles and responsibilities of the CSI TL, training methodology, mentoring, communication, and how to use the Pre- and Post-IM OJT Procedures guides to provide Pre- and Post- Inspection Methods training to trainee CSIs.

Target Audience: New CSI Training Leaders (TLs), supervisors and designated mentors who will use the Pre- and Post-IM OJT Procedures Guides to provide IM OJT. 

Course Logistics: This course will be 3-day instructor-led class conducted via Microsoft Teams. You will need an FSIS issued computer with an internet connection.

Pre-IM training material (guide and job aids)

Target Audience: CSI Trainees, pre-IM training; CSI TLs, mentors, supervisors.

Post-IM training material (guide and job aids)

Target Audience: CSI Trainees, post-IM training; CSI TLs, mentors, supervisors.

Inspection Methods - For students that have completed the course

Self-paced online training course completed within the week prior to starting the IM class. The training will familiarize IM participants with the basic computer/technical systems including how to use the Teams Webinar, FSIS Training Site, and the IM electronic testing system.
